Programme Assessments

Our programmes are designed for families in child protection measures and so it is important that the work is recorded accurately and assessed on completion to help inform the decisions of the court/local authority. All DV-ACTION Programmes include a full final assessment completed by an expert risk assessor which can be used in court proceedings.

A detailed report is provided including the following:

  • sessions missed/attended

  • what the sessions covered

  • whether the parent has met the treatment goals outlined at the beginning of the work

  • recommendations for further work if necessary

  • recommendations for risk management strategies

For the preservation of objectivity all reports are completed by assessors independent from the practitioner completing the work.

Final assessment reports

Final assessment reports are crucial for keeping the courts/local authority informed of progress and any changes in the levels of risk or vulnerability.

As these reports are completed by an expert assessor it can be used with confidence in court proceedings. All DVACT-PAI assessors are experienced, expert witnesses.
